About this course
A cultural course with real language work underneath. Each week we take one song, scene or poem apart, learn what makes it beautiful, and use its grammar to talk about our own lives.
What you'll be able to do
- Understand lyrics and film dialogue without subtitles
- Talk about music, art and feelings with precise vocabulary
- Hear the difference between Andalusian, Mexican and Chilean accents
- Read a short poem out loud and mean it
Course content
Weeks 1–2
Rhythm and voice
Flamenco basics, stressed syllables, imperatives in song and everyday commands.
Weeks 3–4
Cinema
Two scenes from Spanish and Mexican film, colloquial past tense, describing people.
Weeks 5–6
Poetry and letters
Lorca and Neruda in accessible fragments, metaphor, emotional vocabulary.
Weeks 7–8
Your own piece
Write and perform a short text: a song verse, a review or a scene.
